"Photography Day Camp" presented by Annabeth Willis
On Saturday, May 30th, the Heritage Society Educational Committee organized an entry level Photography camp for students in 5th through 8th grade students. 15 students from area schools and home schooled attended the camp.
All attendees were fully engaged and delightful. There were indoor activities held in the Whitmeyer Library at Heritage Village and outdoor activities held on the Village.
Annabeth held a mini-class on picture composition and camera tricks. Then the students were free to roam thought the village taking pictures. The pictures were printed while the students enjoyed a meal at the Pickett House. The students returned to the library and created their photo journals in photo albums. Also each student selected a picture to enter in the Photo contest in October at the Harvest Festival Photo Contest. 8 x 10 photos were printed and entry forms were prepared for the contest.
Several of the student's photos are on display in the Heritage Village Gift Shop display room. Please stop by to see some really great pictures that these students shot.
Here are some pictures of the attendees in action.
